‘Predator’ accused of sexually assaulting disabled child tracked down in Elyria by US Marshals

ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) - U.S. Marshals tracked down suspected child rapist Kevin Neely on Interstate 80 in Elyria on Wednesday afternoon.

Neely, 37, was wanted by police in Mahoning County for allegedly sexually assaulting a disabled child.

Marshals learned that Neely and a woman had fled from Struthers, Ohio to Lorain County, and closed in on them.

“Today our task force members tracked a violent sexual predator all the way from Struthers to Elyria. Our goal is to make sure violent fugitives stay off the street and ensure the victims get the justice they deserve,” said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliot in a prepared statement.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of a known fugitive is encouraged to contact the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at: 1-866-4-WANTED or text keyword WANTED and the tip to TIP411 (847411). Tipsters may remain anonymous and a cash reward may be available.
