CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - After deliberating for around five hours, a jury found a Cleveland man guilty of murdering a pizza delivery driver.
Michael Prock, 41, was working as a delivery driver for Nunzio’s Pizza when he was shot and killed on June 11, 2015.
When Prock arrived at W. 59th and Bridge to deliver an order, Tyrone Leegrand, 26, attempted to rob him.
Prock drove away and Leegrand fired multiple shots at the car, striking Prock in the back.
Prock crashed into a pole and died at the scene.
“Michael Prock delivered pizzas to support his family. That day he never made it back home due to the defendant’s senseless actions.” said Prosecutor Michael O’Malley. “This killer deprived his family and the community of a hardworking man. I commend the Cleveland Police Homicide Unit for their diligence in tracking down this killer.”
Leegrand was indicted by the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury in December of 2017.
He will be sentenced on April 30.
