Hiram police K-9 officer passes state certification, ready to hit the streets

HIRAM, OH (WOIO) - Earlier this month, the Hiram Police Department welcomed their newest member to the force—a very good boy named Guapo.

Born in the Czech Republic in July 2017, the only hurdle between Guapo and his badge was the state certification test.

Well, as it turned out, it wasn’t much of a hurdle at all.

The newly minted K-9 officer and his handler, Corporal Devin Brown, passed the test this week and are officially state certified.

Introducing Hiram Police Department’s OFFICIAL, STATE CERTIFIED K-9 Unit!! Woohoo!!! Thank you so much for all the support and the well wishes!!! We did it!! 💙🐾🐕
