Victims identified in Maple Heights double homicide

MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - Police in Maple Heights are investigating after an early-morning shooting left two men dead and another injured.

Officers first responded to a call from a man who said an unknown male was at his door calling for help around 1:20 a.m.

The caller reported he was unable to understand what the distressed male outside his home was saying.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the male had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported from the scene to Metro Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to police, a second call reporting shots fired in the area of 14400 Brunswick Ave. came in as first aid assistance was being delivered.

Additional units responded to the residence and found an open door with what appeared to be blood at the door.

Inside the residence, officers found two deceased males who had both sustained gunshot wounds.

The victims have been identified as 35-year-old Willie G. Ivy and 29-year-old Julius Moore.

None of the males have been identified and no further information is available as police continue to investigate.
