LORAIN, OH (WOIO) - Meet Marley, a beautiful girl who is ready for her FURever home.
She’s called the Lorain County Dog Kennel home longer than any of its other residents and is ready to say goodbye to the friends she’s made there and settle in with a loving family.
Volunteers say Marley has blossomed since she arrived a few months ago, but that the stress of shelter life is starting to get to her. Who can blame her?
Marley has shown positive interest in other dogs and children. She’s got basic manners and loves playing in the yard with volunteers too—she really loves to run!
She’s so loved that volunteers have made several emotional pleas via social media in hopes of finding Marley a home. They just want someone to give her a chance and promise they’ll be there to support the new owner.
“I cannot stress the importance of decompressing a shelter dog - especially one who’s been here a while and starting to react to the environment poorly. So so so many times, just getting them out of here is enough. But - sometimes, they take a little work. We have no idea until we try. But Marley is a sweetheart - and she deserves that chance. Should she need additional help - we have trainers willing to help her succeed. Just getting her into a home and out of a kennel may be all she needs.”
Will today be her day? How about this weekend?
The kennel is open until 4:30 p.m. Friday and open 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
