CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A wanted man is now in police custody thanks to a Facebook post from the suspect himself.

Mario Whitehead posted on social media that he was going on a trip to Florida.

Detectives spotted the information and officers were waiting at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Monday to arrest him.

Whitehead was wanted by Parma Heights police because of a police chase on Jan. 3. Officers say speeds reached over 110 miles per hour during the pursuit on West Ridgewood Drive.

An officer originally tried to pull Whitehead over for a traffic violation, but instead of pulling over, dashcam video shows him speeding up and then turning his car lights off.

After weaving in and out of oncoming traffic, Whitehead crashed into a BP Gas Station sign. He then fled on foot.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on Jan. 25.
