ASHTABULA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - A New York man is facing felony drug charges after getting arrested by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers on I-90.
According to troopers, they pulled over Derek Tackitt, 57, of Clayton, N.Y., on March 23 around 12:30 p.m. for a marked lanes violation.
Troopers said they smelled marijuana and after searching the vehicle, they found 85 grams of methamphetamine.
The methamphetamine has a street value of $7,000, according to troopers.
Tackett is in the Ashtabula County Jail and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
He could face up to eights years in prison if convicted.
