CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland police officers saved a dog hanging off the side of a home on the city’s East side Saturday evening; it was all caught on police body camera footage.

The dog, which was tied to a leash on the second-floor porch of a home located on East 147th Street, jumped over the railing and ended up hanging itself.

A neighbor who lives downstairs frantically called the police.

A Cleveland police patrolman and his partner were in the area when they heard the call and jumped into action.

The officer was able to hold the dog and prevent it from suffocating, while the other officers arrived on the scene to help.

It appears from the video the dog was uninjured.
