CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland police say two suspects are on the run, after allegedly shooting at victims on the city's west side and leading police on a chase before crashing their pick-up truck.
The incident started around 2:45 a.m. when officers were responding to a home on W. 50th and heard about 10 shots fired.
Officers then saw a silver pick-up drive south on W. 49 at a high rate of speed.
Officers followed down W. 49 to Denison, but ended the pursuit when the suspect turned on to Fulton.
A short time later, the vehicle crashed at Fulton and Park, near the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
Three men ran from the truck.
Officers quickly arrested one man they found laying in the woods.
According to the report, he is a 20-year-old Cleveland man and charges are pending.
Officers thought the other two suspects could have run into the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and began a search.
At 8 a.m., Cleveland Metroparks Rangers confirmed that Cleveland Metroparks Zoo was secured and would be open to the public today during normal hours of operation from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Officers said the suspects had shot at two men outside a home in the 3500 block of W. 50th, after an argument over social media comments.
