Sunny Side Up: Cuyahoga County may ban use of non-recyclable bags in stores

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - “Sunny Side Up” is a daily morning talk show that airs on CBS-Cleveland 19 News featuring Wake Up Cleveland’s Neeha Curtis and Julian Glover.

On Monday’s edition of “Sunny Side Up," Neeha and Julian will be discussing the potential ban of plastic bags in all retail businesses.

Cuyahoga County may ban non-recyclable plastic bags

Cuyahoga County council member Sunny Simon said this in regard to the move:

“It will be a huge change. We know that consumers in Cuyahoga County use up to 319 million of these plastic or single-use bags a year. That’s a lot of bags...and they either wind up in landfills or they wind up in the lake, or waterways and then into the lake.”
