CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - You’d think that Halloween is the busiest holiday for candy companies. Not so, according to the owners of two local candy companies Malley’s Chocolates and b.a. Sweetie Candy Company.

This week on Taste Buds we’ll talk about the staggering volume of chocolate bunnies (100,000 of one size alone!), Peeps and novelty candies like Pez dispensers that Clevelanders buy for Easter baskets.

The team at Malley’s has been working double shifts every day since Feb. 15, according to Dan Malley.

And Tom Scheiman says they’ve added additional checkout lines and staff to handle the volume of customers who will be flooding their warehouse between now and Easter.
