NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH (WOIO) - The New Philadelphia City Health Department has issued a warning after a dead bat tested positive for rabies.

The bat was killed by a calico cat in the 400 block of 2nd Drive NW on April 11 and then collected for testing.

Officials are searching for the owners of the cat to ensure proper medical care.
