Northeast Ohio Weather: Soggy and cooler Friday

Northeast Ohio Weather: Soggy and cooler Friday

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A BEAUTIFUL afternoon expected in NE Ohio! Although breezy, these south winds will help a lot of us reach that 80° mark today!

Slow moving showers and a few rumbles will move in along a front later this evening. Not everyone will see rain to start, but widespread rain will be here for your Friday as another system moves in. Temps fluctuate a bit to start the day. We'll slowly see falling temps through the afternoon into the 50s.

The system will stall out through the day Friday and into early Saturday. Saturday won't be as wet as Friday, but do expect some spotty showers through the day. Highs will be in the middle and upper 50s. We'll have to watch for minor flooding (streams, creeks) through the early part of the weekend.

GOOD NEWS - Easter Sunday is trending drier, but not taking the chance for showers out in the morning completely. By the afternoon, it should be a pretty nice day with partly sunny skies and highs in the middle and upper 60s.

We stay unsettled heading into the work week next week, warmer air and thunderstorms Monday. We’ll have shower chances each day and highs in the 60s after that.
