ODOT’s witty highway signs return for Easter weekend

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - “Back by hop-ular demand," the Ohio Department of Transportation is bringing some light humor back to the state’s highways to help relieve stress from the holiday travel.

An Easter-themed message will be displayed on 130 digital highway message boards throughout Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Transportation first started displaying witty messages instead of travel times on the highway signs in 2015.

“These creative and funny messages are meant to spark conversations about safety and hopefully inspire changes in behaviors,” said ODOT Director Jerry Wray.
