CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A shooting near West 25th and Barber Avenue has left two people dead and one hurt in Cleveland.
Cleveland police said they have identified a male suspect and he is currently at MetroHealth Hospital being treated for multiple gunshot wounds.
19 News is not releasing the suspect’s name, because he has not yet been charged.
According to police, the suspect was threatening individuals with a handgun after Club Alma Yaucana closed.
Witnesses then reported hearing multiple shots fired.
Police responded to the scene around 12:42 a.m. to find a victim lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to the head.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the victim as Giovanni Santana-Rojas, 36.
Another victim, a 32-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was confirmed dead at 5:46 a.m.
Police say the last victim, a 31-year-old female is at MetroHealth Hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh.
Around 4 a.m., a truck was towed from MetroHealth. Police said it was used to drive one of the victims to the hospital.
