Authorities identify Cleveland man gunned down in broad daylight on city’s East Side

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A 46-year-old man died on Cleveland’s East Side after being shot multiple times in the chest and stomach.

The victim, 45-year-old Gene Turner II, was shot in the 3900 block of East 177th Street around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Turner was transported via EMS to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said neighbors heard multiple gunshots at the time of the shooting and a light colored SUV was seen leaving the area around the time of the shooting.

No arrests have been made and police have not identified any suspects.
