AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Akron Police are investigating after a bullet-riddled SUV pulled up to Akron City Hospital Wednesday night, with a gunshot victim in the passenger seat.
According to police, a man was driving a 2019 Ford Escape in the 400 block of Weeks Street when two men opened fire on the SUV.
The bullets missed the driver, but two rounds struck a 35-year-old woman who was sitting in the front passenger seat.
The woman’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, police say.
The shooters, described as two black men, remain at large.
One gunman was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, and the other was wearing a black hat with red trim.
