Cleveland Police: Teen wounded in shootout dies after crashing stolen Cadillac into West Side home
Andre Bello III, 16, of Cleveland, was killed in a shootout after stealing a Cadillac Escalade, Cleveland Police report.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Andre Bello III, 16, was shot on Cleveland’s West Side Wednesday night, and was then pronounced dead at MetroHealth hospital.

On Thursday afternoon, Cleveland Police released new details regarding the case. Officers report that Bello, of Cleveland, stole a Cadillac Escalade and exchanged gunfire with an unknown shooter at the corner of West 100th Street.

Bello was shot in the upper shoulder, sped off and crashed the Cadillac into a house in the 3500 block of West 97th Street, near Loretta Avenue.

A loaded handgun was found at the crash scene.

Four girls and two boys, ages 15 to 17, were riding with Bello in the SUV at the time of the crash. None of the juvenile passengers were injured.

Members of the Cleveland Police Homicide Unit along with the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to investigate.

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.

The fatal shooting remains under investigation.
