Medina County Sheriff’s deputy who rescued 3 dogs last week, rescued an owl Thursday

MEDINA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - The Medina County Sheriff’s deputy who helped rescue three dogs from a house fire last week, helped rescue another animal Thursday.

Deputy Bland and Seville Police Sergeant Phillips received a call Thursday morning about an owl struggling in a creek.

Deputy Bland, Sgt. Phillips and a member of the Seville street department went to the creek and found the owl had become entangled in fishing line and was unable to free itself.

After freeing the owl, they transported the bird to the Raptor Center for rehab.
