Akron police make one arrest in ugly assault, 2nd suspect still at large

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Days after Akron police say a couple intentionally struck a 41-year-old man with their car and then beat him in the head with a piece of asphalt, an arrest has been made.

Crystal Moss, 32, was arrested on a warrant for aggravated vehicular assault.

Moss and Thomas Mendenhall, 30, were both in the car that allegedly struck the man in the area of South Arlington Street and Jenkins Boulevard around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

There is still an active warrant (Report Number 19-8473) for Mendenhall stemming from his involvement in the incident.
