Brunswick Police reunite Big 10 Championship ring with owner after car theft
Wisconsin championship ring returned to rightful owner by Brunswick Police.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A lucky someone retrieved some valuable pieces of jewelry thanks to the Brunswick Police Department.

According to police, Several items were stolen out of a vehicle on the 1500 block of Clearbrooke Drive in Brunswick on March 9.

Officers were able to identify the suspect in the theft thanks to a traffic stop made earlier that day.

The suspect who was driving with a suspended license was identified as 22-year-old Joshua Carpenter of Akron.

Carpenter, Jessica McVaney, 22, and Derek Van Pelt, 19, were indicted on charges of theft.

The Brunswick Police Department announced that the rings were united with the rightful owner via Facebook on Friday, April 26.
