CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Did you hear? Gin is in! The folks at Watershed Distillery are making gin and gin cocktails cool again. They’re joining the Taste Buds this week to talk about changing the public perception of the spirit. The y say gin varieties are gaining as many followers and momentum as flavored vodkas have recently enjoyed.
Nicki Moore and Jane Tropiano, of Watershed, will be on hand live to discuss the difference between London Dry gin, like Beefeater, Tanqueray, and Bombay Sapphire, and their American style gin.
Watershed has been making the spirit since 2010, and they now have a whole family of gins. Their gin has won them awards from Wine Enthusiast and at the San Francisco Spirits Competition. And they were named the #2 gin distillery by USA Today.
Chef David Kocab will discuss how they incorporate gin into the cocktail menu at The Black Pig. And he and jen will share their favorite gin cocktails. And you won’t leave the show empty handed. We’ll demo and share home cocktails for easy entertaining, no “mixology” required.
Jane will demonstrate how to make a Four Peel Collins, BBG Bees Knees, and Guild & Tonic.
