UFC President Dana White was fully prepared to promote a Lesnar-Cormier matchup.

That is until Lesnar retired.

ESPN reports that UFC is closing a deal for a pay-per-view matchup set for Aug. 17, in Anaheim, California.

Earlier this year, Cormier (22-1) when on a Twitter rant in regards to a rematch against Miocic (18-3).

Stipe responded to the criticism hours later.

If the paperwork is inked you can bet all of Northeast Ohio will be watching.
