ASHTABULA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - An Ashtabula County woman was convicted Tuesday of killing a 4-year-old child.

Cassandra Webster’s jury trial was scheduled to begin Tuesday, but she instead pleaded “no contest” to the charge of vehicular homicide.

Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court Judge Harold Specht Jr. found her guilty.

On May 5, 2018, Webster drove into a yard in the 5200 block of Stanhope-Kelloggsville Road in Andover Township and struck the child, who was playing outside.

Webster’s family members said Cassandra was pulling a truck further up the driveway because they were expecting more people.

According to family, Remingtin Krzic was in front of the car and Webster didn’t see her, nor did anyone else at the home.

Remingtin Krzic died after being struck by a car while playing in an Ashtabula County yard.
