CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - They fill your utensil drawer and clutter your cabinets. Whether they’re small appliances or hand tools, kitchen gadgets are big business. Some even have entire infomercials devoted to promoting their ease and usefulness. But which ones really work? Which ones live up to the hype? And which ones are a waste of money and precious storage space?
This week on Taste Buds, Chef Matt Mytro, Dave Kocab and I will try out some of the ones that have been collecting dust in our kitchens, share the ones that we use frequently, and hear from you about the ones you can’t live without.
Which kitchen gadgets do you use all the time? Which ones have you been curious about? Whether it’s an herb stripper for that pesky thyme, a device that promises an easier time cutting up a watermelon, or a pineapple corer, there is a market for these devices, indeed.
Weigh in on the conversation and share your favorites and fails. We’ll read your comments live during the show.
Catch Taste Buds this and every Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. You can view it on the 19 News Facebook Live broadcast, through our app or our website. You can also view the show on Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
