Orange Village police rescue newly hatched ducklings from sewer

ORANGE VILLAGE, Ohio (WOIO) - It’s officially duckling season, which means area first responders will be spending more time than usual in the sewers as newly hatched ducklings stumble awkwardly to water for the first time.

Officers with the Orange Village Police Department conducted one such rescue this week at the Pinecrest shopping center.

Thankfully it has a happy ending!

It was an eventful morning at Pinecrest when these newly hatched ducklings accidentally found themselves at the bottom of a sewer. Thanks to the patience, perseverance (and incredibly big hearts) of Orange Village fire, police and the Pinecrest operations team, this story has a very happy ending! 🐥 Check it out!
