Cleveland APL Pet of the Week: ‘Freckles’ is looking for a fetch partner, and a furever home

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Marc’s and the Cleveland Animal Protective League have teamed up with 19′s Chief Meteorologist Jason Nicholas to find a home for one special dog or cat every week.

Pet of the Week

Freckles, an adorable and sweet 1-year-old Pit bull mix, is looking for a furever home.

She has a friendly disposition, and is always ready for a game of fetch.

Location: 1729 Willey Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44113

Hours: Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. / Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. / Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m.

The shelter is closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

We are proud to announce a new partnership with Pets for Patriots, an adoption program for veterans and military personnel. Once approved by Pets for Patriots, veterans and service members are able to adopt an eligible pet at a 50% reduced adoption fee. Additionally, Pets for Patriots provides adopters with a $150 gift card to help with food and other essentials and access to local veterinary partners who agree to offer ongoing discounted care.

Also, the APL will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
