CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead Sunday morning.
Police said officers responded to the 4700 block of Quincy Avenue for shots fired at approximately 10:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers were reportedly met by residents who said they heard shots fired downstairs.
CMHA Police Department opened the door to the apartment where a 24-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.
Police said EMS arrived and attempted to assist the victim before he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness told officers on scene that they saw a male and female walk up to the building, the male walk into the building, and both of them leave on foot, according to the report.
Police said no suspects have been identified at this time.
Members of the homicide unit and Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene for the investigation.
