Tribe’s Clevinger, solid in 2nd rehab start, will make comeback in Texas next week

Cleveland Indians' Mike Clevinger talks road to recovery in postgame presser

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Mike Clevinger appears ready to return to Cleveland.

The Indians right-hander cruised in his 2nd rehab start, firing 5 1/3 scoreless innings for AA Akron Tuesday night.

Clevinger, attempting to return from an upper back injury, threw 67 pitches, 51 for strikes.

He allowed 3 hits and struck out 5.

Clevinger is scheduled to return to the MLB on Monday, when he starts against Texas.
