Case Western students briefly told to ‘shelter in place’ after UH Medical Center ER placed on lockdown

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Case Western Reserve University students were briefly told to “shelter in place” Wednesday night following reports of an emergency.

Minutes later, the university issued a second tweet, and lifted the warning.

According to a UH spokesman, a man allegedly made a threat toward the hospital, but after investigating, police determined there was no emergency.

As a precaution, the ER was briefly placed on lockdown.
