Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert released from hospital following stroke
Cavs owner Dan Gilbert might be looking to get out of the casino business.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Cavaliers organization provided an encouraging update about Dan Gilbert, who suffered a stroke on May 26.

Now, after spending more than three weeks in the hospital, the Cavaliers owner has been discharged.

Quicken Loans CEO Jay Farner released a statement about Gilbert’s progress:

"The Gilbert family is thankful for the tremendous outpouring of support they have received.

Yesterday, Dan Gilbert was discharged from the hospital and will now continue focusing on his recovery at an in-patient rehabilitation center. The entire family is incredibly grateful for the world-class care Dan received from the entire staff of Beaumont Hospital.

Dan is looking forward to beginning an intensive rehabilitation program and is eager to continue the progress he has made over the last several weeks."

The news of Gilbert’s release comes on the day of the NBA Draft. The Cavaliers own the rights to the fifth selection.
