CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 45-year-old man died from a gunshot wound to the chest early Monday morning.

The 45-year-old man died from his injuries after being transported to MetroHealth Hospital by a private auto.

According to Cleveland police, a woman by the name of Tamia Settles contacted police wanting to turn herself in for the connection with the shooting. Settles was arrested shortly after and a weapon was confiscated.

Cleveland officers responded to the 12000 block of Lorain Avenue around 3 a.m.

Settles apparently got into an argument with the victim outside of M&M Saloon. During the argument, Settles drew a handgun and fired 2 rounds, striking the victim once in the chest.

Members of the homicide unit responded for investigation. This matter remains under investigation.
