MANSFIELD, Ohio (WOIO) - Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with an early-morning break-in at the E K Market in Mansfield.
According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO), they received a 911 dispatch reporting two subjects running south on Fairfax Avenue around 1:44 a.m. Thursday.
Responding deputies were unable to locate the subjects, but did speak to witnesses, including the store owner, who provided surveillance video to help identify the suspects.
RCSO said three juveniles that matched the description of the suspects in the video were located a short time later on Trimble Road. Deputies then transported them to the E K Market.
During transport back to the scene, deputies said they discovered additional information that linked them to the crime, though they did not specify what information.
The three juveniles were ultimately transported back to the station and interviewed after their parents arrived.
This case will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.
