CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A teenager was fatally shot at a gas station late Tuesday night and police are investigating.

The incident occurred at the Shell station near the intersection of Lee Road and Harvard Avenue around 11:15 p.m.

Officers arrived on scene to find a male victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

The teen, who has been identified as 18-year-old Tommy Lavette, was rushed from the scene to University Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

According to police, Lavette went to the gas station to meet one of the men who pulled a handgun on him for unknown reasons and opened fire.

Two unidentified males taken into custody at the scene, while the shooter fled in a tan or gold four-door sedan.

Nothing further as police continue to investigate.
