SHEFFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - Delmar Board, 42, the culprit behind a fatal hit and skip last year was sentenced to 18 months in prison on Monday, Oct. 7.
Following his sentence he is set to serve 3 years of post-release control.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say Board struck and killed Rosyln Arroyo, 48, while walking across State Route 57.
Police say Board fled, continuing on SR 57 after striking the victim on Dec. 2, 2018.
He was charged with a felony in the third degree for leaving the scene of an accident, along with driving an under a suspension.
Due to the nature of the charges Board was only going to serve a maximum sentencing of 36 months.
The judge heard statement’s from the victim’s family along with an apology from Board.
