Brunswick man pleads guilty to 2016 death of a co-worker

MEDINA, Ohio (WOIO) - Richard Berger of Brunswick pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter and corrupting another with drugs for the death of Starr Pawliczka, 25.

Her family said Pawliczka was staying at Berger’s Brunswick home while she detoxed from her heroin addiction.

She was found dead in his apartment in April of 2016 and Berger was arrested in 2018.

Berger will be sentenced in Medina County Common Pleas Court on Nov. 12.
