Friday Football Frenzy: OSHAA announces 2nd round playoff pairings

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced the second-round playoff pairings on Sunday for the 112 teams that advanced to this week’s regional semifinals.

Out of the 224 teams that played in the first round, there were five that won the first playoff game in their program’s history, two of which are right here in Northeast Ohio:

• Cincinnati Taft (Division V)
• Cuyahoga Falls CVCA (Division IV)
• Lima Perry (Division VII)
• Streetsboro (Division III)
• Wintersville Indian Creek (Division IV)

Round 2 of playoffs for Division I, II, III, and VI will be battled out on Friday, while the games for Division IV, V, and VII schools will be played on Saturday.
