BEDFORD, Ohio (WOIO) - Joe and Anthony Russo, the blockbuster Marvel directors who grew up in Mayfield Village, have spent the last few weeks shooting in Northeast Ohio for their new film, “Cherry.”
Today, they set up shop at St. Peter Chanel High School in Bedford, which opened in 1957 and closed in 2013.
The timing is fortuitous because, according to the directors, the school that their father, Basil Russo, attended will soon be demolished.
The new movie, starring Tom Holland, explores a real-life story about an army medic suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, who becomes a serial bank robber after an addiction to drugs puts him in debt.
