CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s Amur Tiger died due to complications from cancer.

The zoo said the 16-year-old tiger, named Klechka, came to Cleveland in 2007.

The average lifespan of an Amur Tiger is 13 years, according to the zoo.

“This is a difficult loss for everyone connected with Cleveland Metroparks Zoo,” the zoo posted on Facebook.
