Northeast Ohio weather: Storms and heavy rain expected Sunday

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - After a beautiful Saturday afternoon and evening, expect a few passing showers mainly south of Cleveland overnight.

Lows will be in the mid 50s.

Sunday: ALERT DAY for showers and storms that could be strong to severe with highs in the mid-70s. The main threats with storms moving in tomorrow will be HEAVY RAIN and damaging winds.

Looking ahead into the next several days, rain, that will be heavy at times, will linger through Tuesday. Flood warnings will most likely be issued with 2-3″ expected in some spots over the next few days.

Monday: Rainy and cooler with highs dropping into the low-60s.

Tuesday: Variable skies with a few showers possible and highs around 60.
