AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A suspected drunken driver sideswiped an ODOT work truck early Thursday morning, causing the car to spin out and slide through a construction zone.

ODOT Crew Struck I-76

Our truck protecting ODOT crews on I-76 in Akron was struck this morning by a motorist. This marks the 11th ODOT crew struck since Valentine’s Day. Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt! The driver was charged with OVI by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Please #SlowDown & #MoveOver

The crash marks the 11th time an ODOT construction zone was struck since Feb. 14.

No one was seriously hurt, and the driver was charged with OVI by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
