CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The 12-year-old boy shot on the city’s East side Monday afternoon died, according to Cleveland Police.
According to officers, a 13-year-old boy ran to the Fourth District police station around 1:30 p.m. and told officers his younger brother had just been shot.
When officers got to the home in the 3100 block of E. 94th Street they found Donell King lying on the grass with a gunshot wound to his chest.
EMS transported King to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital where he died.
Police said the death remains under investigation, but preliminary information indicated the shooting may be accidental.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation.
