CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Half of the NFL preseason will be canceled, CBS Sports reports.

Only weeks two and three will be played, according to reports.

For the Cleveland Browns, that means their first game at Chicago and fourth game at home versus Tampa Bay are off the schedule.

The Browns will play the Green Bay Packers at home on Saturday, Aug. 22, before heading to Minnesota on Sunday, Aug. 30 to face off against the Vikings.

News of the cancellations arrived as COVID-19 cases continue to surge across the U.S.
