GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ohio (WOIO) - The man charged in a fatal stabbing at Geneva-on-the-Lake last summer has pleaded guilty.

Andre Sheffey pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter and Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas Judge Marianne Sezon sentenced him to 11 years in prison.

Sheffey stabbed Christopher Nasca in the chest after a verbal argument on July 11, 2020.

“My deepest sympathy goes to the Nasca family and we will keep them in our prayers,” said Ashtabula County Prosecutor Colleen O’Toole.

Sheffey will also have to register as a violent offender when he is released.
