CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Indians playoff chances just got a lot better.

MLB will expand this season’s playoffs from 10 teams to 16, according to ESPN.

The Tribe did not qualify for the postseason a year ago, finishing second in the AL Central to Minnesota.

That snapped a run of 3 straight division titles for the Tribe, who fell to the Cubs in a thrilling 2016 World Series.
