CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - First they were restricted.
Now they’ve been optioned.
Zach Plesac and Mike Clevinger, who broke team COVID protocols last week, have been optioned to the team’s alternate facility in Lake County.
Team president Chris Antonetti addressed the media Friday afternoon, saying the players drove to Detroit separately and addressed the team.
“This is not punitive at all,” Antonetti said.
“The team meeting was a team meeting,” manager Terry Francona said, refusing to divulge any more details.
Francona said he did see Plesac’s instagram video and “I was disappointed.”
