CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Baker Mayfield not only helped lead the Cleveland Browns to victory on Sunday, but he was also named the top offensive player of the week in the AFC following his weekend performance.
The NFL named Mayfield as the AFC Offensive Player of the Year in Week 7.
Mayfield threw for 297 yards and five touchdowns, capping Sunday’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals with a game-winning drive to take a 37-34 victory.
- Completed 22 of 28 passes, including a Browns record of 21 consecutive completions
- Threw a 24-yard touchdown with 11 seconds left in the game
- Recorded a touchdown in each of the Browns' second-half possessions
This is the second time in Mayfield’s career of being named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
