19 First Alert weather: First snow flurries of the season possible this weekend

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - We are not expecting any snow on Halloween, but the forecast gets a little spooky on Sunday!

We could see the first snowflakes of the season as we watch a system move over the Great Lakes by the end of the weekend.

Conditions on Sunday will be windy with temperatures falling as cooler air rushes over the lake.

This will fire up lake effect precipitation with enough cooler air over the lake to support rain transitioning into snow.

Right now, it looks like if we do see accumulation, it will be in higher elevations in the snowbelt.
