$1M bond set for Maple Heights man accused of killing his 20-year-old girlfriend

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The 22-year-old Maple Heights man charged with murdering his girlfriend pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday.

Shavarri Dixon was indicted on several charges; including, murder, felonious assault and involuntary manslaughter.

Xenaundriyeah Piskac, 20, was shot and killed on Valley Lane in Garfield Heights on Oct. 13.

Garfield Heights police said EMS transported Piskac to Marymount Hospital where she was pronounced dead that evening.

Dixon was taken into custody at the scene of the shooting.

He is now being held on a $1 million bond and will be back in court on Nov. 17.
