CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Two Northeast Ohio bars announced Monday they are temporarily closing their doors due to the surge in coronavirus cases.

Stone Mad located on W. 65th Street in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood and Speak of the Devil Bar located on W. 5th Street in Lorain both posted the news on Facebook.

This is not easy for us - ANY of us here at Speak of the Devil, but with Covid-19 cases rising exponentially and with our team collectively knowing dozens of friends, guests and associates who have been infected and/or affected by this insidious virus (most mild, a few not so mild, one hospitalized) we, as a team, decided that it was time to do what we feel is the right thing and do our part in (hopefully) reducing the public spread of the virus by CLOSING OUR DOORS (again) for awhile. For how long? Who knows.”

The owners of Stone Mad thanked everyone who supported them during this “crazy” year and said they would see everyone soon.
